Wilderness Safaris has community partnerships and manages concessions in seven countries in southern Africa, where it runs its environmentally-friendly camps, as well as a plethora of overland safaris called Explorations. In this way it offers its guests private access to nearly 3 million hectares (6.8 million acres) of southern Africa's finest wildlife reserves, while remaining fiercely committed to protecting our planet's precious natural and cultural resources.

Our Packaged Safaris are a starting point, a collection of suggested itineraries that showcase just some of the best that a particular country has to offer, combining a selection of its excellent features into one seamless safari that we hope will be the first of many African adventures for your guests.

These packaged safaris take in a variety of the astounding biodiversity in our areas, including differing biomes (vegetation areas) which in turn result in a different blend of animal and bird life. In this way, guests can get more than the "Big Five" and instead gain a far richer experience in southern Africa in all its multiplicity and wealth of difference.

Packaged Safaris differ from Explorations in that they are not scheduled departures and do not have one guide throughout the experience.
